Vitamin B5 also know as Pantothenic acid (Calcium pantothenate), Pantethine or commonly called "anti-stress-vitamin". Pantothenic acid is a water soluble vitamin, that is a member of the B-Complex family. Vitamin B5 plays an important part in the production of hormones by supporting the adrenal gland. These hormones assist in the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and fats also Helps to fight allergies and aids in the promotion of healthy skin, muscles and nerves. Vitamin B5 is used in the creation of lipids, neurotransmitters, androgens and hemoglobin. Vitamin B5 is sometimes referred to as the anti-stress vitamin because it is believed to enhance the activity of the immune system and improve the body's ability to withstand stressful conditions. Pantethine, is a by product of Pantothenic acid and has been gaining attention in recent years as a possible treatment for high cholesterol and lower blood levels of triglycerides. Panthanol, another for m of Vitamin B5, is often found in hair care products because of the belief that it makes hair more manageable softer and shinier. Vitamin B5 Deficiency can produce symptoms like fatigue, insomnia, depression, irritability, vomiting, stomach pains, burning feet, upper respiratory infections, headaches, nausea, tingling in the hands, depression, personality changes and cardiac instability.
