PABA also known as Para -Aminobenzoic Acid. Some health professionals do not consider Para - Aminobenzoic Acid to be a vitamin but only a B Complex Factor. Para - Aminobenzoic Acid is part of the coenzyme tetrahydro folic acid. PABA is used by the body
to improve Excessive levels of PABA are stored in the body and may cause liver damage. Toxicity and symptoms include. Nausea, Skin Rashes and Vomiting. Para Aminobenzoic acid is best taken with Vitamin C and the B group vitamins plus folic acid. PABA effects the ability of sulfa drugs to do their job. Food sources of PABA include liver, kidney, brewer's yeast, molasses, whole grains, mushrooms, eggs, and spinach. Para - Aminobenzoic acid is also produced by intestinal flora.
