How to Gain Weight?

What is a weight gain powder?

These are two common questions for those people who are desperate to gain weight and as silly as this seems there are actually people who have just as difficult of a time gaining weight as those trying to lose it.  For the bodybuilder or hard trainer weight gain products can be a critical component in putting on lean muscle mass and making strength gains.

Constituents of a Weight Gain Powder.

These mass-gaining support formulas are primarily designed to further promote size and weight gain on the hardest gainers. They also deliver extra protein and calories. Many formulas are made to be instant so as to facilitate easy mixing without the aid of a blender.

Normally, these powders contain loads and loads of protein constituent for a good muscle mass formation.  They also contain a unique mixture of carbohydrates so as to aid in support weight training.  Obviously, fat is also included in the formula such that it is considered as a highly concentrated energy source.

Purpose of a Weight Gain Powder
.

Weight gain powders are created for the main purpose of supplementing proper nutrients to hard gaining people.  However, they are not only assumed to supplement.  They are also presumed to promote better absorption of needed nutrients for a better weight gain.  If there are carb and fat blockers, there are also nutrient, carb and fat absorber.  Thus, what they absorb are only those healthy fats and carbs.

Eating Strategies for Weight Gain

What would be the proper ways for gaining weight fast?

For one to gain one pound of weight, it would take about 3500 calories. Thus, consuming an extra 500 calories every day would result in at least a pound of weight gain a week.  The best way to approach this is to know how many calories you are consuming now and from what sources, and start adding 500 calories a day a week until you start seeing the results you want.  Remember eating the right amount is the difference between lean gains and fat gains, so keep a close eye on your progress.

Weight Gain Tips.
First, you need to eat regularly and frequently.  Consume about three large meals and two to three heavy snacks in a day.  Eating larger and heavier meals helps but eating less more often would provide more consistent results without feeling stuffed and lethargic.  Say good bye to fast food and fried foods.  Eat high protein, low (saturated) fat foods like fish, chicken breast, turkey, lean beef, eggs and cheeses.
Second, eat high calorie foods.  Dried fruits, whole grain breads and cereals as well as starchy vegetables are good choices.

Third, don’t eat foods as is.  Add extras.  Add those healthy unsaturated fats, carbs and proteins in your everyday meal.  Drinking shakes high in calories is very effective, instead of drinking diet sodas, tea, and coffee.

Fourth, don’t forget essential fatty acids like, fish oil and flaxseed oils.  This insures that you are getting plenty of Omega 3, 6 and 9.

Fifth, drink lots of water.  Dehydration can be one of the most detrimental things to someone that trains hard, getting plenty of fluids will help keep you health and everything working properly.

Sixth, keep a diary of food intake, the times you eat, calories consumed, how much sleep you get, pulse, blood pressure, how you feel, etc. and keep track of your weight and body measurements.  This will give you immediate feedback that keeps you motivated and on track.

Seventh, Sleep, Yep I said sleep, getting plenty of that will help you body grow and recover from your workouts.  This is the number one thing you need to do to keep from overtraining and ending up sick.

And lastly, If you are a hard gainer or just looking to explode your size and strength.  Don’t forget to drink pre and post workout drinks. Pre workout drinks give you the energy and necessary nutrients to get the most from your workouts and post workout drinks help the same way with recovery.

Supplements and Good Discipline

Primarily, supplements are good sources of nutrients needed for a healthier body.  But these supplements could not work by themselves.  They need to be assisted by proper discipline.  If you would like to experience healthy weight gain, follow the simple steps mentioned earlier while taking additional powdered supplements and you’ll see good results.

These are my recommended weight gain products, I’ve used muscletech products for years and have found that they taste better then most other products I’ve tried without all the sugars or unneccassary carbs, bloating and gas that I’ve experiance with other drinks and bars.  If you don’t like what your using then you won’t use it.  And these I use.
